She keeps growing

Can't believe my little girl is one! Well, she is working on 15 months now. Her birthday party was great, we missed alot of people because of the weather and it sure did rain. She had lots of her friends and family there and my friend Debbie took all the pictures, they turned out great! Sophie just went to the doctor yesterday and she weighs 22 pounds, which is big for her. We went to the Outer Banks with my family two weeks ago and we sure did have a great time. Soph and I were on the beach every day but one and finally she likes the sand and the water. We played for hours with her sand toys and she just loved it. She got a few Thomas trains from my dad while we were at the beach and she loves them, she pushes them around her track and then she takes the track apart and we do this over and over again. Her absolute favorite toy right now is our dog dishes. She carries them around, puts stuff in them to carry around and wears them as shoes. Not unlike her mother or father, she has a temper...majorly and is into EVERYTHING! If I take my eyes off of her for one minute she is into something she shouldnt be in to. She is talking, at the beach she said fish and duck. She also says hi and bye and waves. She says Gus and Pete. She also says dad...we're working on mom. She loves our animals and they really love her. She chases the cats and the dogs she pats on the head. I'm just having a blast watching grow and learn. Hope everybody is well! We can't wait for Halloween...her costume is so stinking cute!

Sophie Turns 1!

I'm not quite sure where the time goes or how it can be possible that the days add up so quickly. Our little girl turned 1 on Sunday. This year has been so amzing watching her grow and learn. I think about everything we went through while we were waiting for her and all the times we didn't think it would happen and then I look at her and I feel so blessed. She is truly the most magical precious little thing I have ever seen. Jon and I watch her and just sit in aw of how amazing it is to have her with us. She does everything with us and I wouldn't have it any other way. We just got from a week at the beach and she enjoyed seeing all the people and sitting in the sand. She hates anything inflatable, it scares her to death. She likes the pool alot as long as someone is holding her. She is eating well and enjoys anything you can imagine. I give her whatever we're eating and she just munches away. She loves peaches and any kind of meat. She eats raw tomatoes like they are going out of style and red peppers too. Grilled Cheese is also a favorite. She likes anything soft to rub on her face. Sometimes when we're in stores she'll pick up a blankie to rub in her face. Sophie loves to dance and shake her hands and clap. She's quite good at that. While we wer on vacation 3 more of her teeth came in and since we've been home it seems 2 or 3 more are going to push through any day now.

Her first birthday party is August 9th from 2-5 at Penllyn Park. Please come if you can!

Love to everybody-
Ashley

Spring Update

I know it has been almost forever since I have written in Sophie's Blog...sorry, I've been crazy.
Well our little Soph was 9 months yesterday. I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday she was coming home with us for the first time. She has really grown. She is crawling all over the place, scooting mostly though. She is trying to pull herself up, sometimes she does it. I told Jon that we need to get Soph a helmet. He thinks I'm crazy. They make little foam ones that I saw in a parenting magazine...I think I might order one. She is as ditzy as her mother. She is always falling and bumping something. Soph is eating everything is site. When we go out for dinner she eats the lemons from our drinks, she loves these little puffs from gerber. She is feeding them to herself quite well, but some fall on the ground. One of the dogs picks them up for me...I see it as killing two birds with one stone.
Since I wrote last we've moved. We still live in Ambler, it's just closer to North Wales or Montgomeryville. I love the new house. We have a ranch now, so it's a little bigger than our old house, but all on one floor. We took on quite a few remodeling projects, which we all now how Jon is on the remodeling at our house department. We won't go there. It's kinda been chaos the past few weeks trying to get everything done and everything out of the old house. I still have boxes to unpack, but slowly it's coming together. The dogs finally have the yard they deserve.
It's fenced in, but we still watch them. They are totally loving it. We actually get to mow and think we were excited about it (THIS WILL NOT LAST LONG).
Sophie's room is bright green, like ridiculously bright green. I'm sure she will never go to sleep in here during the day as I still let her nap in her pack and play.
Things are going really well right now. We're looking forward to a beautiful Spring and crazy busy summer.
Hope everybody is well,
Ashley
